COVID-19 Update

Our Emerson Community remains covid-free. We are grateful not to have had *any* residents with instances of the virus. The prevention protocols and processes we have in place continue to keep our residents as safe as possible from exposure to the virus. We have recently opened up our restaurants and dining venues, expanded resident programming and transportation, and we are allowing visitors inside the building under our new visitor protocol. For more information, please contact us.

COVID-19 Update

We are fortunate to have had a very few coronavirus cases, especially as the virus continues to spread rapidly throughout our area and throughout Texas. We are continuing to follow our protocols and procedures to do our very best to prevent widespread exposure to COVID-19 within Emerson. As of today, our community is clear of any active COVID cases. The two positive employee cases have been resolved; both are well and returning. Additional team members who have been tested have all tested negative. All of this is great news, and our COVID-free status allows us to move forward with our plan to begin hosting small dining experiences next week, hopefully re-open the salon, and resume our low-risk activities. Masks remain REQUIRED for everyone in our indoor common spaces, including hallways, gathering spaces, sitting areas, and in the laundry rooms, and sundry shop. We will continue to encourage residents and team members to remain vigilant and diligent to protect themselves from potential exposure of COVID-19. While we’re focused on thoughtfully moving forward, our independent living community has intentionally changed how we’re serving our residents to continue to ensure each resident’s well-being remains at the forefront. We continuing to offer our residents purposeful opportunities, hospitality, and services for their overall wellbeing. COVID-19 Update

Our community continues to take the utmost of precautions related to COVID-19 prevention. However, with the continued- and recently rapid- spread of the virus in our area and throughout the state of Texas, two employees have unfortunately contracted the virus, despite being careful both at the Community and outside of work. *We have not had any residents contract the virus.* The risk of exposure to our residents has been determined to be low, especially considering the precautions and protocols we have in place. None of our residents are experiencing symptoms, fever or otherwise, and we will continue to stay in close contact with each resident. We continue to treat areas throughout the Community with anti-viral spray, and we are taking additional precautions as a result of these cases. If you are a resident or family member seeking information, please contact us at info@emersonrosemeade.com.

COVID-19 Update

Our Community remains covid-19 free. We continue to evaluate our prevention protocols and procedures, ensuring that the health and well-being of our residents remains our highest priority. All Emerson Communities have modified our dining program, transportation, resident services, and programming to remain low-risk while still providing residents with options and opportunities. We have a carefully-thought-out plan for reopening our dining venues in the most low-risk way possible so residents can begin to get "back to normal"- when it's time. While how we serve residents has changed, we’re continuing to offer our residents purposeful opportunities, hospitality, and services for their overall well-being- because good health means caring for the body, mind and soul.

We have recently established a “safe-move” process, allowing new resident move-ins to specific easily-accessible residences on a case-by-case basis and only when prospective residents meet our stringent set of criteria. We will continue to facilitate inside-out and virtual tours to help prospective residents and families experience our Community. Contact us at info@discoveremerson.com for more information. We also continue to remind residents and staff how important it is to wash their hands and to avoid touching their face. If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to us. We would also encourage you to follow Emerson’s Facebook page for additional information, correspondence, and posts.

COVID-19 Update

Our Community remains vigilant and committed to our prevention protocols and procedures in an effort to avoid an instance of COVID-19. Many of the communities around us have experienced confirmed cases of coronavirus, and we are continually working to reduce potential exposure. Each person entering the Community has been approved to come in to provide essential care or support; visitors are limited to those people only. In addition to the screening questions being asked verbally of each person, a form, temperature, and signature prior to entry is required of everyone entering the building. That form includes additional questions that will ensure visitors do not provide services or care to residents at a community with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Team members are wearing masks at all times in the building. Please do not be alarmed by seeing team members in masks. It is for your protection! We continue to clean with anti-viral cleaning solutions, and we have contracted with a third-party company to spray an anti-viral mist on surfaces that are still being utilized frequently by residents (such as the mailboxes, lobby, and the laundry rooms). Residents who choose to or need to leave the community have been agreeable to the self-isolation and self-monitoring requirement.

We have made the difficult decision not to move new residents into the Community for the time-being. We are facilitating virtual tours and taking deposits for those who want to move to our Community after the risk of COVID-19 has lessened, and move-in hold is lifted. We also continue to remind residents and staff how important it is to wash their hands and to avoid touching their face. If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to us. We would also encourage you to follow Emerson’s Facebook page for additional information, correspondence, and posts.

COVID-19 Update

The risk of coronavirus at our community continues to increase. Many of the communities around us have experienced confirmed cases of coronavirus, and we are working to put additional measures in place to ensure our community isn’t affected. The best, most important thing we can all do is maintain “social distancing” and reduce- if not eliminate- potential exposure. To reduce our potential exposure, we have implemented three additional protocols immediately:

Additional questions are being asked of those entering the community to ensure no one provides services or care to a community with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Team members are being provided with masks to wear when interacting with residents in close contact. Masks are very hard to come by, so we have a number on order for team members, and they will begin wearing them as we receive them. Please do not be alarmed by seeing team members in masks. It is for your protection!
Lastly, any resident who leaves Emerson for any reason at any time is being asked- upon their return- to self-isolate and self-monitor their temperature and general wellness for 14 days. We will be signing residents in upon return and providing a form that those residents can use to facilitate their self-monitoring. Residents who need assistance with self-monitoring can reach out to the Concierge.

Remember how important it is to wash your hands and to avoid touching your face. Please know the decisions to implement these additional protocols were not taken lightly, and we are hopeful that we will not have to operate this way for long!

If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to us. We would also encourage you to follow Emerson’s Facebook page for additional information, correspondence, and posts.

COVID-19 Update

Understanding the risk that COVID-19 poses to our residents, Emerson Communities are operating under an abundance of caution in an effort to do everything we can to avoid an instance of coronavirus within our Communities. We are restricting all visitors into our Community except for critical caregivers and medical personnel. Anyone who has traveled out of the state or country in the past 30 days, anyone who has flu-like symptoms or has been exposed to those with flu-like symptoms, and anyone with a fever above 100° will not be permitted to enter the Community. These protocols apply to all entering the Community, including our team members.

We have made the decision to temporarily close the dining room and are not hosting group activities until further notice. In addition, transportation is being limited as are maintenance services. Related to dining, all meals will be delivered door-to-door. During this timeframe, we are strongly encouraging residents to stay in their apartments, asking residents only to leave the Community if necessary. Residents who leave the Community are being asked to isolate for 14 days upon their return and self-monitor their temperature and how they are generally “feeling” on a form that will help them track any changes. Our teams have also implemented significant sanitization measures to ensure surfaces, especially those being touched frequently, are being sanitized ongoing.

As a Community, we recognize that we are each responsible to one another, and we are responsible to ensure that we do everything we can to avoid coronavirus. Residents who feel feverish or who are experiencing flu-like symptoms should not leave their apartment and should contact the concierge immediately.

Much consideration is being given to the decisions we are making to protect everyone. It is in everyone’s best interest to proceed with the utmost of caution; Emerson communities are amongst many other senior living communities who have made the same decisions.

Please know the decisions to make these changes were not taken lightly, and we are hopeful that we will not have to operate this way for long! If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to us. We would also encourage you to follow Emerson’s facebook page for additional information, correspondence, and posts.
